Books being made into movies is a common occurrence. But what is an uncommon occurence, is the author, starring in the movie based on his book. Author Ruskin Bond made an appearance in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. He plays a brief role of a priest in the film. Our source said, “Saat Khoon Maaf is based on Ruskin Bond’s book Sussane’s Seven Husbands. This is Vishal’s second film after The Blue Umbrella to be based on Bond’s book. The director convinced the author to face the camera.”

Bond was flown down to Mussorie especially for the shoot where he shot a scene with Priyanka. Bond, plays the priest whom Priyanka has an interaction with. “He was obviously was a little nervous as he had never faced the camera before,” said our source.
