Sanjay Dutt and Manyata threw a lavish iftar party at a suburban hotel for friends and media. Also, Sanjay unveiled the promos of his next film Knock Out directed by Mani Shankar which also stars Kangna Ranaut and Irrfan Khan.
At the event Sanjay Dutt confessed that it was very challenging to shoot the scenes. He says, “When we went to shoot it was completely a different experience for me as an actor. There was no Irrfan in front of me to react to what I said. I had to be in that room for 30 days speaking to nobody. I had to just imagine that Irrfan is in front of me and deliver my dialogues. So I thought it was very difficult.”
The directors who were present at the iftar party were Kunal Kohli, Subhash Ghai, Satish Kaushik, Ram Gopal Varma, Apoorva Lakhia, Rohit Shetty and Sanjay’s close friend producer Bunty Walia. Speaking about the heroines that are cast opposite him the actor says, “I have noticed one thing that now-a-days most of the directors don’t cast me with pretty looking heroines. So I am complaining. All you guys…", referring to the directors present at the venue.
There were rumors that Manyata has been giving strict instructions to many directors for the heroines to be cast opposite Sanjay. To this the actor joked, “That’s why I gave her twins, she’ll be busy now.”
Sanjay Dutt had also suggested director Mani about having a dream sequence with Kangna in the film Knock Out. “I told Mani sir to keep a dream sequence where I have a love song with Kangna. But then he said I would come out of the character.”
Kangna plays a role of a journalist in Knock Out.
Sanjay Dutt has not only been a fashion icon over the years but has also managed to look young with every passing film. He explains. “I think you got to feel young at heart, get married three times,” a statement which made everyone bursts into laughter. He looked at Manyata and shot back saying, “This is the last one.”
