A former chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh was Tuesday held guilty by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here of wrongfully allotting a plot during her tenure as Noida authority chief. The court found Neera Yadav, a retired Indian Administrative Service officer, guilty of violating the rules in allotting the industrial plot in Noida to Flex Industries Limited. Yadav has been arrested, Ashok Chaturvedi, Flex Industries and Engineering CEO and a leading entrepreneur, has been found guilty in the land scam case.

CNN-IBN reports Yadav had been charged with irregularities in allotment of plots during her tenure as the chairperson of Noida Authority in 1995-96. She got a 300 square metre plot allotted in her name in Noida’s Sector 32 and later on got it converted to a 450 sq m plot in Sector 14. Moreover, the area of the plot was further increased.
