Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated on 14th April 2011.as Dr.BR.Ambedkar is the originator of Indian constitution and has been called as “Father of Indian Constitution”.

His Full Name is Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar and all of Indians will call him as simply B.R. Ambedkar,

He was born on 14th  April 1891, who had dedicated his entire life for the upliftment of the deprived section of the society. Hence many Indians and even people from other countries revere him as a great social reformer. He also played a significant role in India’s freedom struggle.

Various events on Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar/ Babasaheb Jayanti 2011:

On the occassion of birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar on April 14, 2011 (Thursday), many schools are observing rally for students of secondary schools and some district authorities have also decided to organise debate, essay writing, along with drama and painting competition followed by a symposium and sports competition. Health check up camps would be organised in slum areas where free medicines would be distributed to patients. Cheques would be distributed to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. Hence, Dalit Melas are held in various parts of the country. Ambedkar Jayantyi is observed both in government and private organizations. Prayers, meetings and memorial speeches are organized in various state capitals.
