NEW DELHI: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced recruitment for 1560 posts of teachers in the academic year 2011-12. The KVS has announced the recruitment for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Primary Teachers (PRT) and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for the year 2011-2012.

Details of KVS Teacher Recruitment 2011

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
No. of Vacancies : 360 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs.4800/-
Age Limit : 40 Years (as on 30.11.2010)

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Misc Teaching Posts (MTP)
No. of Vacancies : 574 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs.4600/-
Age Limit : 35 Years (as on 30.11.2010)

Primary Teachers (PRT) and Music Teachers
No. of Vacancies : 626 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
Age Limit : 30 Years (as on 30.11.2010)

Application Fee for all the Posts:  Rs.750/- + Rs.30/- (Service Charge).

Method of Selection :

All the vacant posts will be filled through a Written Test that will include a Preliminary Examination followed by a Main Examination and Interview.

Preliminary Examination

•The Preliminary Examination (Part-1) will consist of 110 questions on General Knowledge (GK), General Awareness, Current Affairs, General Science & Indian Constitution, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Teaching Aptitude etc.

•The Preliminary Examination (Part-2) will consist of 40 Questions (20 questions on English language and 20 questions on Hindi language). This test is aimed at evaluating the candidate for language competence. The language test will be of qualifying in nature and not be considered in the final merit

Date of Preliminary Examination: 11.02.2011 (Friday) & 12.02.2011 (Saturday).

Main Examination

The Main Examination will carry 120 marks (3 hours duration).
Date of KVS Main Examination: 08.04.2011 (Friday) & 09.04.2011 (Saturday).
The question papers will be both English and Hindi.

Interview
Candidates will be called for an interview after qualifying the pre and mains exam.
The final selection will be made on the basis of combined performance in the written test and interview. The weightage of written and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
