Ekishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana (kvpy) announced sa & sb stream former papers 2010.

basic sciences (sa, sb+2(sx) and sb) : after scrutiny of application forms and grounded on the performance in the board examination(s), all the entitled nominees from streams sa, sb+2 (sx) and sb have to surface for a written aptitude test (conducted both in hindi and english). The test are going to be conducted at dissimilar centers across the country on 31st october 2010. The details of the venue of the aptitude tests are going to be put on the kvpy web-site in october 2010. Grounded on the performance in the aptitude test, nominees are going to be called for the interview which is the final stage of the selection process.

The question paper in sa stream are going to be both multiple choice objective and descriptive types. In the objective type, 4 selections for the correct answer are going to be provided and the option for the correct answer has to be made. In the descriptive type resolution to a problem, formula for a sum, etc. , has to be worked out and written. The model question paper are going to be put in the web sometime in september, 2010.

sp (primary sciences) and sp (medicine) : kvpy applicant is expected to submit the project report, selected and executed by the nominee just for this application. The projects done jointly with other nominees are not considered for kvpy fellowship award. Applicant’s creative thinking and originality ought to be amply reflected in the project. This project has to be supervised by a teacher/professional in the applicable field. Grounded on the project submitted and scrutiny of the application form, short listed nominees are going to be called for an interview, which is the final stage of the selection process. The interview are going to be conducted at iisc, bangalore for the duration of the month of december 2010 or january 2011.

Please note that applications without the project report wouldn’t be looked at. The project should not be a routine one (such as measuring a widely known property of a material) the supervising teacher / professional is expected to provide a recommendation letter certifying the extent of the applicant’s primary contribution in the project.
