On Tuesday night we’ll find out just how much money San Clemente’s Autumn McAlpin and her sister Allison Chapman won during their run on NBC-TV’s game show “Minute to Win It” when the second and final episode of their appearance airs at 8 p.m.
When we last saw them, the pair had won $125,000 so far, and last Tuesday’s show ended with Chapman trying to complete a challenge that would boost their winnings to $250,000.

McAlpin – a mother of four who writes the “Family Life” column for the Sun Post News, The Orange County Register’s community newspaper in San Clemente – and Chapman are playing for a maximum prize of $3 million. They plan to give their winnings to their mother to pay off the mortgage on her house.
“Minute to Win It” features teams trying to complete challenges in a minute or less using household objects such as cans, balls and pencils. As last week’s episode ended, Chapman was trying to stack four martini glasses (three of them filled with Christmas ornaments) without them falling over.
The sisters are contractually prohibited from talking about how they did on the show until both taped episodes have aired.
