Oman is to award a tender for the first phase of the 758km Nizwa-Thumrait dual carriageway project next month.
Technical studies for a bulk of the huge project are still being carried out, but Omani officials say they’re close to announcing the winners of a bid to begin the first 45km of the project.
Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, National Economy Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council said a statement that once technical specifications for the rest of the project were finalised, the government would immediately implement the work.
