privilege to benefaction the Budget Estimates for the year 2010-11 to this august
House.

encouragement to me. we am thankful to my associate colleagues in this House, all
MPs, Chief Ministers and domestic representatives, Chambers of Commerce and
the usual people for bringing to me useful suggestions on new lines and
projects.
3. we am unapproachable of the fourteen lakh members of my railway family – officers, staff,
gangmen, each part of who are operative day and night. With their cooperation
and support, we am presenting this Budget.
4. Madam, while formulating my proposals, which we shall plead later, I
had two considerations. First, we looked into the mercantile viability of the
projects, in the required way of rate of returns, etc. Most of the projects
proposed by me tumble in this category.
