Techberry Mobiles in Chennai

Techberry, a global telecom company headquartered at Chennai with the state-of-art mobile handsets and hardware, innovative corporate solutions for communication, integrated entertainment and office solutions with a global perspective, has plans to expand in a big way in the next three years by floating an IPO.

The company also aims to achieve 10 per cent of the market share from the 154.1 million handsets sold in India annually.

With a modest investment of `150 crore over a period of two years, the company has already establiShed contract manufacturing of the mobiles with Hong Kong and Taiwan firms.

John Yesudhas, CEO (Asia), Techberry, told this correspondent that the company would achieve 30 per cent market share in the next five years, besides emerging as a leading Indian manufacturer of mobile handsets and wireless products and provider of integrated technology solutions.

“Plans are there to bring 10 more products by the end of the current year and a laptop by March next year, to be priced below `10,000. The projector mobile introduced last month is sold at `12,000,’’ he added.

The models are the epitome of convergence integrating devices with smart services. They offer advanced features such as a camera, editing features, e-mail, digital maps and navigation services. The new products are the wrist phones and the projector installed phone perfect for today’s generation.

“Techberry’s greatest strength is that it is ready to bring the best technology at affordable prices. The company has a specialized R&D team comprising professionals from India and abroad,’’ John Yesudhas said and added, “The ‘quick to shelf’ concept, where the consumer needs and necessities are identified and incorporated into the next available version that reaches the market, is followed.’’
