Vaanam is a Tamil action-drama film written and directed by Krish. A remake of his own 2010 Telugu film Vedam, the film stars Silambarasan, Bharath and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles. Jointly produced by Ganesh Janardhanan and Githan Ramesh, the film, featuring music, cinematography and editing by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively, is currently in its production stage and is expected to release in December, 2010.

The audio release was supposed to take place on 18 October 2010, but was postponed since members of the team were denied visa by the British Consulate. The single “Evandi Unna Pethan†is penned by Yuvan himself and Simbu. The lyrics are penned by Na. Muthukumar except for the single. The soundtrack is expected to release in December, 2010. The single release was held on November 28, 2010 at the Citi Center, Chennai in the evening.
