Nagpur, Nov 26 (PTI) Noted folk artist from Maharashtra Vithal Umap died here today of heart attack while performing at a programme.
Umap, 80, suffered a massive heart attack while he was performing at the launch of a new private TV channel here and collapsed on the stage, organisers of the event said.
He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead on admission.
Umap who hailed from Ahmednagar district was associated with Ambedkarite movement for a long time.
