A.R. Rahman's Jai Ho Concert

Oscar and Grammy-winner A.R. Rahman's highly-anticipated 'A.R. Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour' was witnessed by thousands of fans in New York, Atlantic City and Virgina in USA recently. Rahman even has a surprise guest! Kylie Minogue.

Kylie and Rahman performed 'Chiggy Wiggy', a track from the film Blue that released last Diwali. After about 24,000 people saw the show in three days, the show is now moving across America, Canada and London.

“I know you are all excited to share pictures and videos from the concert. We are going to release a DVD of the concert later this year. Please keep the surprise and excitement alive for the remaining cities on the tour,” Rahman revealed after the concert.

The concert, produced by Deepak Gattani from Rapport Productions, will travel to over 20 major arenas and cities worldwide. During this period, he will have live concerts in USA, Canada, Netherlands, France, Norway, and UK, covering the cities of New York, Atlantic City, Washington DC, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Amsterdam, Paris, Oslo, Glasgow, Manchester and London.

Well-known choreographer-director Amy Tinkham, who has worked on the live musical concerts of pop icons Paul McCartney, Madonna, Britney Spears, Dixie Chicks and Motley Crue, has teamed up for the tour. The live concert will be a theatrical experience that will blend new technologies with dance arrangements and acrobatics. It will feature changing sets, large images and a cast of musicians and dancers from across the globe.
