Patta Patti 50-50, which has former Indian cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh in the lead role, is all set to grace theatres soon. The film is directed by Yuvraj, associate of Jayam Raja and produced by AVR Talkies in collaboration with Flicker Studios. Newcomer Harini plays the female lead. Arul Dev has composed music for the film.
“You saw how passionate a city can be about cricket in Chennai 600028. In Pattapatti 50:50, you will get to see a village which is equally crazy about cricket, but doesn’t know even the basics of the sport,” debutant director Yuvraj said to a leading English daily.
“We have a cricket match as part of the climax. We spent more than a month roaming around Tamil Nadu to find a piece of barren land for the match. All the actors in the film are a surprise package. The movie will have an equal measure of cricket and comedy,” he added.
