Golden beaches, an ace photographer, scenic resorts and stunning sunsets… This doesn’t exactly sound like work. But that’s what work entails for the six superhot models and the celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar involved in the making of the Kingfisher Calendar 2011.
“Well, it is a bit of a vacation,” concedes Kingfisher Calendar girl Liza Golden, “but we are there to shoot a swimsuit calendar at the end of the day, so of course we worry mostly about how we look, or at least I do! Eating lots of fruits, going to the gym, making sure we get proper sleep and tons of water in order to look amazing on our shooting days.”
Kasbekar, who has been conceptualising the calendar since 2003, has returned to the picturesque settings of Mauritius for the second time. Kasbekar’s formula?
“Keeping the shots and the models sensual and not vulgar is something I emphasise on all the time. The calendar needs to look elegantly sexy and not cheap,” he says.
