Mithran Jawahar says that 80% of the shooting of Utthamaputhiran is completed. While speaking about this, he said,” I will not say that Utthamaputhiran is a different kind of story.
College student Dhanush loves Genelia who comes from America. How he succeeds in his love is the story of this film. I have narrated this in comical way. Vijay Babu and Uma Padmanabhan have donned the role of Dhanush’s parents. Bhagyaraj has donned the role of Dhanush’s uncle.
Apart from him directors R Sundarajan, Srinath and Rajesh Lingam have also acted in this film. It is not an easy task to direct directors. At the same time, I was not nervous in directing them because I was clear in the sequences. Vivek and Karunas are there for comedy.”
